Re: Promoting Irises through YouTube.com

I'd be glad to join your committee. Regrettfully my cam recorder is
partially reliable after heavy use years ago when the kids were young, and I
tend to not use it much now, tending to use just digital. And I don't have
a camera attachment sitting on my desktop or laptop. Perhaps if plans can
be developed, funds from electronic services to acquire a reliable equipment
could be used, and the unit could be shared among those who would make the
effort. And of course there are likely members out there with reliable cam
recorders who might become the photographers, whereas others might be good
producers (help writing a 'script', and others good directors... all
bending towards being amatures. And I confess I've not loaded a video on
to YouTube or other sites. And I'm aware of the AIS youth protection
guidelines, but I would think garden demonstrations can be planned to avoid
name use, or young adults can be used. Gee, wouldn't it be neat if every
region, national and section had a fun clip about their garden tours!

As chairman of the Public Relations committee I
believe this would fall into my purvue. I would be
delighted to work on a plan and if there are
volunteers I would love to have a subcommittee who
could concentrate on helping me with this.
Unfortunately I am not a parent so has less exposure
to these things than many, but I would be willing to
work on a plan of action that could be presented to
the board for approval.
