Re: AIS Library Daylily Check Lists

I had a box of daylily items from an estate that I sold to the AHS archivist for a donation of $50. to AIS. I don't know if these items are scarce or not, but they would likely be either auctioned at an AHS national meeting or kept in the archivist's files. I'll do a bit of research with some daylily friends.

Since everything seems to be dealing with Daylilly's I think we should offer AHS the opprotunity to purchase the items outright. That failing, putting them in the silent auction seems like a good idea. BTW, I have no idea what we should offer to sell these items to AHS, just saying it might be nice to offer the items to them first.

For everyone's edification I am including a list of the items under discussion:

Exhibition Report '06, Display Gardens '07, Source List '07 (all in one)

I doubt there is anything here of major importance to anyone except AHS members who are also AIS members as Dave Niswonger has indicated. I hope that this puts everything "on the front burner."

We seem to be already deciding on stuff we have not even seen listed. Some daylily journals/ papers contain information about the Iris society because both groups shared members. Since we have no accession policy it seem premature to be selling stuff that was just donated if we do not have duplicates.

I think Dave's idea is the perfect solution. I can send the list to Debbie Strauss, she can make up the bidding list and I can take them to Dallas with
me for this year's Silent Auction.

I would offer them on the AIS Silent auction. There are many members of AHS that are AIS members and they would get a chance to bidon them. Dave N.

AIS discuss members,

he items listed below are inventoried in the AIS Library from the
uBose/Hager estate. I know of no restrictions as to our distribution of
them.

m open to suggestions and offer three possibilities:

. Offer them to the AIS Silent Auction
. Offer them to the American Hemercallis Society
. Offer them for sale on Ebay (only if someone would volunteer to handle
ame)

would be interested in everyone's thoughts.
