Re: Website Candidates

I just found the website Jim Morris put together for the Greater St Louis Iris Society mentioned in the post below. I think it is great. Even though there are things I might change, overall I think it is very appealing and welcoming. As I have said many times before, the corporate disclosure that starts off the AIS site is more appealing to lawyers than gardeners. I particularly like that there are several pictures on the first page. It has a very friendly tone and might entice someone to join.

John Jones,

I just finished (before I left for Hawaii for January) a new web site for
the Greater St. Louis Iris Society. I activated it this week as
_www.stlouisirises.com_ (http://www.stlouisirises.com) . I incorporated some of my ideas
for the AIS web site (that I previously shared with you) into the new GSLIS
site. Take a look at it to see what you think. The Home page main iris picture
changes each time you visit the page. And all pictures are identified when
the cursor is placed on them.

I would like to request that the GSLIS site be included as a link on the AIS
site. Let me hear from you.
