Re: Re stated motion-- Clarence's new book

Restated Motion.
I move;

That AIS provide a special sale offer of Clarences
new book to members at $58.95;

	 The sales offer should provide two periods in which
orders will be collected

	 One period should collect orders until Dec 1st then
an order placed for 50 books, the minimum to get the
discount, or if greater the total books ordered. These
would be sent asap upon receipt hoping for
pre-Christmas delivery.

	 The second order period should be for advertising
the offer in the AIS Bulletin. Orders would be
collected until March 1st. At that time any inventory
left from the first order should be used up and if
necessary another order placed for 50 and or whatever
would be needed to complete the orders over 50.

	 If there is any inventory left after March it
should be sold at $75 each.

Discussion;

According to this motion the highest the inventory
could reach is 49 copies and it is very likely it
would stay well below that number. Unlike the World of
Iris venture there would be little if any inventory
and the worst possible case would only allow 49 copies
the difference between this and the World of iris is
hundreds maybe even thousands of copies since I don
not know how many of those were left. There is no
comparison.

Any advertisement should make clear that orders are
being collected to get a quantity discount and that
shipment would not begin until after each cutoff date.
Also it should be noted in the second offer in the
January Bulletin that orders not received by the end
of February would be dependent on there being any
remaining stock and would be at the higher price.

It is recommended that we have a book review in the
January bulletin along with the special offer.

This offer needs to be approved ASAP so that regional
meetings that are about to occur could make and
announcement and print some flyers explaining the
offer with expected delivery before Christmas.
