A few days ago I worte to my contact at the BIS concerning the
rumors that have been circulating concerning their organization.
Chris is the person who was in charge of having the Dykes medal
engraved for us last year. Here is his response. Hello Michelle,
I have just returned from the BIS Annual General Meeting
which was critical to our future and I am pleased to say that
all those present wanted it to continue and we recruited some
keen people to serve on the Executive Committee. So, we go on.
Until the new committee have met and found themselves a
president and secretary we shall not be completely settled, but
the meeting turned out a lot better than I thought it would..
