Thanks Brad;
I still do need the Caparne-Welch winner listing. I will start to assemble
one from the info I have on hand to reference which is the past 15 or so
years of AIS Bulletins. I will have to rely on others to research back
further as that is the extent of my AIS Bulletin collection. That way at
least there is a start and we can fill in the older ones as the info becomes
available.
I guess I may as well assemble the other missing medal winner listings for
the past 15 years at the same time as I have the books out.
Any help on this is appreciated.

Hi Chris,
I'm the current president of the DIS and I'm afraid I don't have even a
partial list of Caparne-Welsh winners although I agree it is important that
one be put together. I believe our vice-president may have knowledge about
where to come up with the best iformation on this, but before I inquire I
wanted to check if you still need this information.
All the best,
Brad Kasperek
DIS President

I am looking for a complete list of past winners of the MDB Caparne-Welch
Medal. This is for the "Awards" section of the AIS website. There I am
trying to provide a comprehensive reference list of each of the medals,
their history and past winners list. (actually it has not been very easy at
all to find info for many of the awards which makes me realize its probably
more important to do this than I originally thought)
There are other awards that I am also seeking info on but I'll just go at
it one at a time. The awards info I am assembling appears on the AIS
website on the following page: www.irises.org/awards.htm You can see the
ones I am missing there.
For the MDB irises award list I visited the DIS website but found no award
listing there so I thought that I would contact the DIS President for the
info or a source (but I have found 3 different names for same and am not
sure which is current) The one I did contact did not answer. If someone in
the society has this information perhaps they could forward it to me via
e-mail.
Thanks in advance.
