RE: inquiry from CIS re: cooperating societyBenefits

Insurance is a big benefit, but adding a cooperating
Society to the AIS umbrella that would cover Canada my
be asking for an increase in AIS premiums.
Some other benefits include participating in AIS
advertising, both in the bulletin and on the AIS
website.
I would guess that many CIS members are already AIS
members. There is no longer a requirement that members
of cooperating societies must be AIS members. In fact
there really are no requirements of cooperating
societies. AIS promotes Cooperating Societies but
there are no requirements that the societies promote
AIS. AIS offers much and requires nothing in return.
