Board Reports and Word Files

Rita Gormley brought a problem to my attention.

Our general secretary has Word 2003.

Please be aware that if you have Word 2007 and want to submit a  
report as a Word document, you must save the report in a format  
compatible with the earlier versions of Word. Word 2007 uses a .docx  
file format that is not compatible with previous Word versions.

If you are using Word 2007, to save a file in a version compatible  
with previous versions of Word, select File/Save As and in the file  
type selection box pick Word 97-2003.

The same general rule applies to Excel 2007 and Powerpoint 2007
