Re: E-memberships

Hi All
I like the direction of this discussion. The idea of having a section of the website available to "E-MEMBERS ONLY" is marvelous. Then, we just need to examine content, like current culture comments updated yearly(just an example) and whatever else that we think is pertinent..
The down side will be a drop in regular membership but about 80 to 90% of that money goes to bulletin cost. Figuring out what to charge will be a real trick. Hope we have a good "actuary"!
"Join on- line" sounds great.
A "shopping cart" for the storefront could be helpful.
The trend is for more people to be comfortable with these concepts.
I am not thrilled with PAY-PAL but I hear that it is getting cheaper to process so worth researching. People who use it like it.

I believe we need to pattern the e-memberships as closely to standard
memberships as possible so the answer to having the ability to take Section
Memberships is yes from my standpoint. That does not necessarily mean
separate accts. for the Sections, I can still cut monthly checks to them.
