I would agree that "northern rebloomers" are not necessarily the same as "southern rebloomers".
For a national calendar it might be nice to give people a clue as to where the picture came from.
And just to further confuse the issue there are certainly "crossover" plants.

I think the date of a rebloomer picture is irrelevant. The point is they bloom other than the typical season. If the point of the picture is to show a rebloomer than there is some need for context to make that point. If the goal is just to have a pretty Iris image than it does not matter.

Jim Morris and his committee chose September and October for Rebloomers I was not in on the conversation to know why. John Ludi and I chose September and it really does not matter what month we place a reblooming iris photo - as long as there is representation.
The pumpkin idea was from Robert Pries.
Let us focus on the guidelines. The rest can be worked out by the Calendar Committee.
Yes, we do take suggestions.
