RE: Announcement

Bob,

The meeting minutes ARE CORRECT.  I did NOT say that you resigned.  I quoted you, that you wanted to have someone take over this position.  There is a difference between resigning and wanting someone take over a position.

That may be true but We are talking about creating two SUB-committees under the Existing committee, Shortening the name of the existing committee does not constitute creation of a new committee. If you remember I shortened it at the last board meeting. And the minutes are incorrect I did not resign but asked for more help which no one present volunteered to give.

I'm not sure I understand.

According to Article IV of our bylaws, "The AIS Board of Directors shall, in furtherance of the purposes of the AIS, have the authority to create and appoint committees and delegate to such committees powers and functions as seem proper."

As part of this committee, Charlie Carver, Region 13, Orcas, WA, will chair the National Collections and will be added to the list-serve for AIS Discuss.*

And, AIS Director George Boyce, Region 3, Pennsylvania, (doing double duty in Region 1, NJ & NY for the 2016 & 2020 AIS Conventions) will chair the Display and Test Gardens program.
