Robert,
It kinda seemed that they were sub-committees, but Janet Smith
said
"So to make sure I understand this:
1. Bob Pries = Garden Committee Chair
2. Charlie Carver = National Collections Committee Chair
3. George Boyce = Display and Test Gardens Program Chair
Eliminating = National Collections, Display & Test Gardens Bob Pries
as Chair."
This appeared to make Charlie at the same level as you, as did the request to add him to AIS Discuss.
Jim Morris's reply to Janet was "Yes, that is correct."
So please pardon my error. There is conflicting information out there.

That may be true but We are
talking about creating two SUB-committees under the Existing
committee, Shortening the name of the existing committee does
not constitute creation of a new committee. If you remember I
shortened it at the last board meeting. And the minutes are
incorrect I did not resign but asked for more help which no one
present volunteered to give.

I'm not sure I understand.
According to Article IV of our bylaws, "The AIS Board of Directors shall, in furtherance
of the purposes of the AIS, have the authority to create and appoint committees and
delegate to such committees powers and functions as seem proper."
