It offers a plant database that gives pictures, descriptions, culture, history and more. Actually if we can evr get the AIS wiki running properly we could offer the same type of in depth information. Despite the fact that a great deal of info is available on the internet for free, plant societies still have something to offer. A society can present more authoritative, in depth information that is organized in a meaningful ways. It can honor its members for their acheivemnts and inspire new members to create great gardens and grow exceptional plants and carry on the gene pools as guardians protecting the past for the future. If a society is doing these things well it should have no problem maintaining and attracting members.
