RE: 2008 Fall Board Meeting in Las Vegas, NV

Debra,

I am Treas for Region 15 and we have $1,000 in our budget each year for the
RVP to attend the National Convention and/or Fall Meeting...Again, like Jerry
Coates and other regions, it is not enough to pay for all expenses but it
helps. Our primary income comes from rhizome sales and investment income and
our chief expenses are the newsletter (twice a year), reimbursement for region
clubs who host the annual Region Trek and Region Fall meeting, RVP expense
account and an Officer Exp account to be used if necessary for Region officers
too attend the Region Spring meeting and Fall meeting...In the last few years
we have broken even or had a small loss. The rhizome sales come from the
region guest iris that we get to keep at the end of the spring treks. They
are divided among the region clubs and they either auciton them off and return
the sales to the region or pot them for sales and give the region a set
amount of money each year.

Hope this helps,

Jill Bonino
