I now have a hole in my life that was filled by a friend. Rita spent many a morning cheering me up when I was desolate. We both had high expectations for the Iris society and when it seemed to be letting us down Rita was always there to tell me there would be another day. She very much made those days happen, with her tireless efforts to not only take on jobs but actually do them.  She was so much a part of the everyday functioning of so many aspects of the Iris society it is hard to imagine it working without her. But the best thing I know to do, to honor her memory, is to do my best, to see that the society continues. No one will be able to fill her shoes. But hopefully several people will emerge to carry on the work she loved. I hope she will be looking down on us all and smiling because AIS becomes better and better.  Bob Pries
