RE: Motion for library/more thoughts
Hi Bob and everyone,
I've had a few more thoughts & questions about the traveling library exhibit.
Are the current AIS Screens being utilized to their fullest capacity? We
spent quite a bit of money on the screens for "PR/Marketing" purposes and they
make a beautiful statement, such as when Bob set them up at the Kansas City
AIS Convention - but that is only for 8 days once a year. Who else uses them?
Could one of them be modified/added to and become part of a traveling library
exhibit? I think the PR/Marketing Chair should be the overall administrator
of the project since they would know best who would be the most advantageous
venue for a traveling library exhibit, with the AIS Library Chair & Committee
facilitating just what could or should be added to any exhibit: i.e., if the
exhibit were to go to the Presby Gardens, much of the history of AIS should be
provided, but if the exhibit were to go to a natural history museum, then
information about cultivation, varieties,& AIS, etc. might be more
appropriate? Obviously at a venue such as the SASS gardens, information about
their contributions to AIS would and should be highlighted. I know I'm getting
ahead of myself, but IF we have venues interested in AIS, shouldn't we
utilitze what we have AND increase the information provided?
