Kathleen,
I agree with John Jones re Mike Lowe as Anne does not want anything extra
beyond the obit.
Re Dr. Rodionenko, we have printed much before including in SIGNA. I
would prefer not to overkill it.
Re AIS Spring Convention Award Photos, I assigned Riley Probst to take our
pictures and I know he did so. I am sure he can comply well in advance of
your June 15 deadline.
As soon as Iris Shows and garden tours are over I am sure you will receive
the AIS Dallas garden write-ups. Peak IB bloom here with TBs just
starting. Pretty busy as a result. More later.

This is sad, especially since he was still young.
For the summer issue of IRISES, I9d like to have an article about Mike9s
contributions to AIS in addition to his obit - I believe he helped
establish HIPS as well as the AIS website and was awarded the AIS Gold
Medal. If those of you who know about his contributions could send me a
paragraph or two, I will create an article, or someone can send me an
article NLT June 15. Anyone have a photo?
Another irisarian, Dr. Rodionenko, also should be mentioned beyond an obit
for his contribution to AIS and the world iris community. Suggestions for
an author for that one would be greatly appreciated. I found the letter
Jim Morris wrote him on the occasion of Dr. R9s 100th birthday last year.
Any photo other than the ones in the AIS encyclopedia?
While I9m carrying on about article ideas for the summer issue, it would
be nice to continue featuring up and coming irisarians along with those
who have moved on to the next dimension. Any suggestions? I watch the blog
for ideas in this area.
Please send any photos of the award winning irises and tour gardens from
the Spring Convention to Janet and me.
Thanks in advance, Kathleen
