These bargains sound good if they can be struck. Presently my estimate of what I expect this to cost with my current approach is about $500. That is with the finally steps being professionally edited. I believe my committee has a good record of producing an incredible amount of work for practically no cost. Considering the balance sheet of the AIS I think it wise to continue in this way. I have not sought approval from the board for any funds for this project yet. But if we could find a class that wanted to take this on as a project I am all for it.
Do not tell me about grey hair, I have pushed hard to move AIS into the future, and it has not been me resisting. I would suggest if we want to go this route that perhaps we could get some competition going and use the $500 as a prize for the best video. But just because we think this is a good idea does not mean a class at a junior college or university will see it that way. I would not wish to have us committ to any more than $500. I would also want to lay out some guidelines for any project but would be open to presentations by a creative student of why those guidelines might be violated. We might also consider some smaller experimental U-tube type presentations with say a $50 prize.
I will check into some video departments and consult with the rest of the PR- committee.

College student - interesting idea.
Wouldn't a college student in say the media department need to do a
video as a final project?????? They get credits we get a video
professionally produced.
Win - Win situation I say.
