Re: Promotional video

The Daylily Society paid a member who does this professionally, I have his name. Even though I have been told the cost, I believe we should first seek out our members who have the needed equipment, or at least part of it, so they could gather some images to work with. Then if we need the help in editing and splicing etc. We could pay for just those services. It may take awhile to get great videos of shows and convention tours. Flowers should be easy. I have already talked with some Iris videographers but was not able to show them the video to see if they could match those standards. I am in the process of beating the bushes to see what is there. Encouragement from the society could help potential workers emerge. I like FREE but if necessary I can always pay for stuff but the Iris Society is no way as rich as the Daylily Society. This initial video is a key foundation for Marketing. But there are many other possibilities if we developed a crew of volunteers. But getting every!
thing in place and the flowers/events to photograph could take a year because the season is dissappearing. It would be easy to do a second rate job but I would hope we could match the quality of this presentation.

I think this sounds like a worthwhile project. But would also like to
understand the scope of it, ie such as equipment and people needed as well as
any other resources. Thank you and happy gardening

and I are self-starters, but to get others involved the society has to show it
cares. I am hoping to enlarge the team, not to just do everything myself.
