RE: Registration images - Amended motion

I like the amended motion with one change...I agree that August 1 is too soon to have preliminary guidelines ready.  If we set the deadline at Sept 15 we could have six weeks of email discussion on them prior to the Nov Board mtg.  At the Board mtg we could approve/disapprove/change them and be able to get the final version into the January 2012 IRISES.  That way, we could begin the new 2012 year with this new program...

As to Gerry's concerns about spelling out "any and all AIS uses", I think this is very important but can be done as a section of the formal guidelines. I don't think we need to do this now.  We could "amend"  Part A of the motion to read "...
for any and all AIS uses as specified in written guidelines to be created in Part B."
