The President's turn
Greetings!
The past week has been warmer than average I most places in the USA. And
here, the past few days as warm as May! This cannot help but provoke
thoughts spring. The official date for the Vernal Equinox is eight days away,
however the unusually early change to daylight savings and the pleasantly warm
days with pleasantly cool nights seem to say spring is here (even though it may
freeze again in two weeks).
Spring means a burst of iris bloom. A burst of iris bloom means garden
tours and conventions, Conventions -- for AIS Directors and Committee Chairs
-- means Board meetings, and Board meetings mean the need to have your report
compiled, finished and in the hands of the Secretary and the Electronics
Chairman well in advance of the Convention.
Now is the time (resist the urge to stay in the garden) to get your
report organized, formatted ready for distribution, and off to Patricia Randall
before (or at least BY) April 6.
It is undisputed that this method of distributing reports is the most
efficient and effective approach used to date by the AIS Board of directors to
improve the flow of business.
We do not intend to stop using this approach.
Think of this President's message as "Nag #2" -- John got to you first,
but the message is the same:
Please prepare your reports and submit them to Patricia Randall by
April 6.
We'll all be happier for it!!
Cheers!
Jeanne
