Re: AIS Bulletins

I fear there is no guaranteed solution to this issue with the post office.
I have had problems with my local rural post office. My post office has
had a lot of new staff whose accuracy is lacking. In the past two years, I
regularly receive other neighbors mail every week, if not more often. I
photo the envelopes, I take them to the Post master, and I've filed written
complaints with the San Francisco complaint center, which they have checked
out, but not much changes. I sometimes have long delays on magazines I
should be getting in. About 4 months ago I took in the magazines/bulletins
I should be getting, and asked what happened to my current issues. Even
though the staff is friendly, they admitted they don't process bulk and
third class mail except ONCE a MONTH. and they pointed behind the counter,
to the corner to where a huge stack of periodical/bulk mail was piled, and
said they had no staff to sort it. I expressed my concern that my magazine
and bulletins were not coming through, and all they did was express regrets.
However, they must have sorted through that pile the next day, because my
magazines came in two days after that. But overall it still hasn't
improved. I have no answer in my case, as I do know the big part of my
problem resides in my local post office. I certainly don't think this can
be resolved entirely by AIS, and each and every one of us needs to talk with
the post office in our local area.
