Dorothy and I want to express our sadness at the death of Allan and our condolences to the family. Allan was our good friend as well as AIS colleague. Allan's thoughtful demeanor and his modesty may have led some people at first to underestimate his contributions to our society. But all who worked with him came quickly to realize his high intellectual ability as well as his human kindness in working with people. One indication of his devotion to his duty was in his work as AIS Board member and RVP Counsellor. He sent a monthly newsletter to all RVPs, reminding them of duties of their jobs and sharing AIS information that they might otherwise have missed. I believe he was the first ever to go to that degree in making his job difficult but very valuable to RVPs. And many other things could be pointed out that indicate Allan's merit. Thanks, Gary, for making us aware of the sad news, and for your tribute to him. Hal Stahly On Jun 26, 2010, at 2:10 AM, gary white wrote:
