As an honorary life member of AIS I would like to protest the Board's action!
What logic could deny regular AIS members a service provided for email
members; Surely the by-laws do not permit such discrimination. Clarence Mahan

Yes, that is the policy set by the board. (I just want you to know that it is
not me that sets the policy).

The electronic membership was set up to allow those individuals that did not
care to receive the hard copy bulletin to have access to the e-bulletin as a
benefit in addition to having access to the irisregister database. It does
cost
money to maintain the e-member services. and while the rest of the website is
available to anyone, it was decided that AIS needed to charge for the
additional
e-member services.

You can, of course, have both types of memberships.
