[AISdiscuss] Notice Re: Gen Secretary's office

Dear Members of AIS Discuss:   
     I am writing this on behalf of Jill Bonino. Since the information in 
this email involves the Secretary's office, an important AIS communications 
channel, I though AISDiscuss would reach the most people who might be impacted by 
the office's temporary closure.
     Jill received word yesterday that her father (James Perkins) had died 
(yesterday morning -- 07/15/05).
     Jill and husband Joe are leaving this morning for Oklahoma City where 
Jill's parents reside.   The funeral will be on Tuesday, but Jill expects to be 
in OKC until July 26.   They will return that day to So Cal and be home by 
afternoon.
     Jill tells me that the Secretary's office is caught up as of last night, 
so unless there is an emergency, things should not be seriously effected by 
her absence.
     She will have email access, so really important messages can be sent to 
her via email.
     I have a telephone number at Jill's mother's (Elaine Perkins) in OKC 
where Jill can be reached.
     I do think that all things considered and baring a major emergency, the 
rest of us can keep things going without bothering Jill at this sad and 
difficult time.
