Thank you Jim, for this information,
It's very sad news indeed. Hal and Dorothy were two very special people, always with words of friendship and encouragement. One of my favorite memories with them was in 2003 at the Siberian/Species "Beardless and Borderless" convention in Hamilton, Ontario. One night, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night at the hotel. Most of us ended up in the lobby and dining area of the hotel until everything was checked out and ok for us to return to our rooms. It took quite awhile. Linda and I spent the time sitting and visiting with Hal and Dorothy. They were just so friendly and laughing, taking it all in stride. They turned the situation into a enjoyable, fun, memorable time. We feel so fortunate to have known them and to count them as friends. They will surely be missed !

Greetings from the cool south:
I was just online looking for Hal's obit. After locating his I also came across an obit for Dorothy. Evidently she passed away on the 15th, 6 days after Hal.
I would like to post something on the website soon. I have the photo John sent and have asked him to write a short statement for the newsletter as well as the website. Unless you would rather not put it on the website.
Please let me know. Also, I hope the club and region 6 will make donations to AIS in their memory.
Take care.
Deb
