Hi JohnYes, it is, but the TB segments are the only portions that will NOT be picked up by the sections. Logistically, Perry's report is so long that I would anticipate that the Sections and AIS would be looking for ways to abbreviate (Edit) it to fit with other news that they want to report. (Yes, I do read it from page one to 24!) (That's 48 pages of bulletin space. OK, Brad, we'll do this one in 6 point text :-) ) On the other side of that argument - most of the sections have memberships of less than 500 people whereas AIS readership is something on the magnitude of 5000. One of my thoughts is to scour the section and region publications for material that would be of general interest to the larger membership. It could be republished for another 4500 people to read.
Now THERE is a wishy washy answer if I ever made one up! TerryThe scary part is that I hear he is already working on another edition of contemporary views!!

Ummm, isn't the AIS Bulletin a publication for all types of irises? I think it is fine if some of the sections pick up portions of articles in the AIS Bulletin that pertain to their section.John On Jan 8, 2007, at 7:37 PM, Terry Aitken wrote:Hi JohnStrategically, maybe I could isolate TB portions of Perry's report for the Bulletin and then let the sections pick up the rest We could then refer to the website or the sections for further information. I know Rita is interested in the Median parts and I would guess that the Louisiana folks would pick up on their portion.Sounds like a plan. Everybody wins. Thanks Terry John I Jones wrote:Terry,I see no reason that it Perry's article could not be on both the website and in the bulletin (in sections probably). Not all our readers go to the web and it is certainly of interest to bulletin readers.John On Jan 8, 2007, at 2:35 PM, Terry Aitken wrote:Perry writes great reviews. I have used them in the bulletin in the past. They were so long that I had to break it up into pieces. He has good credibility. A very astute observer. If you dont use it, I will.
