RE: AIS Silent Auction - your thoughts on this please


This is a great discussion and great ideas.

I have question:

Why doesn't the Aril Society advertize the book for sale to the
highest bidder or put a price on it IN THE BULLETIN?  Again photos
showing condition.

That way all AIS members have a chance (if they are interested) as
opposed to only those who are going to the convention.  AND it is
safe where it is and Region 15 does not have to worry about insurance
(nor does the Aril Society).

Fresno Iris Society did that many years ago with a Japanese Irises
book  - it included a letter from the author. It was a lovely book
and too expensive to continue to be in our library.  I believe
Clarance has that in his library now.  It worked out quite well.
