I was greatly saddened with this news.   In speaking with Cal on numerous
occasions this past couple of years, I had learned he had served on  his
local School District Board and  served as treasurer for his township.   He
was a talented man, very dedicated to his love of irises.   I will miss
seeing him at AIS conventions.
