Re: AIS- Scientific Grant Proposals
We seem to be having trouble with numbers and amounts. I remember that a large
portion of the restructuring of the website came from the restricted fund and
that a large portion came from the general fund. The point I was trying to
make is that whatever the amount from the general fund that will not be spent
this calender year will roll over into next year. But that means we have a bit
of surplus available at present. If we assume that next year will be similar
to this year then we should have enough money to fund the web reconstruction
and still commit to a larger Science grant. Of course if it looks really good
I would hope to get some advertising funded; but the website takes precedence
in my mind over ads and of course is really an advertisement in itself. I was
pretty sure the amount coming from the general fund was the larger amount
because both the adverting in public relations and funds that were to be added
to the research budget were used to balance the budget. The bottom line is
that it would appear at present that barring some committee going over budget
there would appear to be adequate funds for the research grants.

Sorry, the $5000 comes out of the Electronic Services Restricted
fund. $3000 comes out of the General fund.
