Re: Re: Communications, and Public Relations

My purpose in my initial post was to call attention
to the fact that affiliates and their website are
inextricably linked with the AIS, as they should be,
since they are the base of the AIS. When
misinformation is present it reflects not only on the
local group but on the region and the national. There
will always be a delay in information making its way
upward. But it is important to realize that the
communications between the local affiliate, the region
and AIS are important in allowing all steps to do
their job effectively. John obviously has realized the
problem I am pointing out and may have effective
relief in the future. But this is not Johns
responsibility alone and I was not directing my
frustration at the AIS website. Regions and affiliates
have to work together and with the national to make
the internet an effective working unit. I havent
suggested any remedies for this situation but wanted
to call attention to the fact that a break in any link
in the chain can affect effectiveness at every level.
If we want to gain new members it is necessary to
provide them with current information at all levels
and in an easily obtained mode. I was not expecting
any dramatic solutions but wanted to alert all
concerned as to how interconnected we are and that
progress is often limited by the weakest link no
matter where it lies.
