Re: [AISvote] Motion to vote

Good Afternoon John,
I believe you already have received your answer to your question about the
reprinting of the BIC. The majority vote ruled and per Roy the BIC has been
reprinted and on its way so you should be able to begin filling your orders
very soon. There were several comments to the extent that many voted yes to
the reprint beings we were totally out of booklets, but very strongly
indicated that there would be no forthcoming "Yes" vote on a reprint without
a revision in place first, so I guess it is time for a committee to review
the current publication and update as needed before the current order is
depleted again. Nuff said. Sorry I haven't been very involved in all the
calendar and bulletin discussion (received my two Secretary copies in early
Jan. and my own personal copy a couple of weeks later, no complaint here)
but as Jill stated many of us are involved in other iris activities on the
home front. In recent weeks I have completed our New Mexico Iris Society
show schedule for 2006, am serving as the Region 23 2006 Convention Chairman
with hotel contracts, etc. to finalize, and have begun compiling articles
for the Region 23 Spring Newsletter where I serve as Editor. This along
with a full time job and the AIS Secretary duties leaves precious little
time for chit chat on line (and there are many AIS board members out there
with very similar schedules too), but believe me I have been noting all
messages and the line of conversation on all items of question. See you all
in Portland! Patricia
