If Sylvain Ruaud is preparing an article about Geddes Douglas,  the founder 
of the Median Iris Society, I wonder if he has the 50th Anniversary  
History Edition of The Medianite, Volume 48, Number 1, Spring  2007?  Available 
for $24 overseas.  In it we have at least four  articles discussing Geddes 
Douglas's important contributions and  hybridizing.  Irises listed of his 
include SDBs (which he called  "Lilliputs") 'Dark Star' (1954), 'Happy Thought' 
(1953), 'Helen's Child'  (1954) and 'Lilliput' (1953).  Not to be forgotten 
is his  borderline SDB/IB 'Lillipinkput' (1959) which went on to win the Sass 
Medal for  IBs in 1967.  We did not run any pictures of these introductions 
in The  Medianite as we did not have them.  Hopefully they will appear 
someday  on the AIS Encylopedia.
