Oh that is really sad to hear.  I remember going to his garden and seeing space age iris for the first time. He and Barbara were such gracious hosts. I will also never forget seeing him in action as the auctioneer at the geek dinner.  His sense of humor and his contribution to the world of irises will be greatly missed.
