Hi Judy,
All of the filings I have done have been for Dec 31 year end. The IRS has the year end set up in their database, and it takes a letter made out to the IRS requesting a year end change and about 6 weeks if you want to change it. I ran into this with several clubs and just filed for them as Dec 31 year ends. That way it is done.
Spring has finally slowed down and I am trying to catch up with everything and everyone.
Take care,
Jill

For those groups who have a Dec 31 year end, I have filed for over 90% of you, and you have received an email confirmation from me with the attached IRS confirmation.

BUT I do need it as soon as possible so I can add your organization to my database and make sure that your organization does file. FAILURE TO FILE CAN RESULT IN THE LOSS OF YOUR ORGANIZATION'S TAX EXEMPT STATUS.
