I feel that Gary's motion is well stated. This does not require any images
with new registrations. It's voluntary. 
No one is trying to "ram through" any change that has not been studied
carefully. The committee will have the charge to "study carefully" and
examine all the problems that could arise. The Board cannot take time from
meetings to examine and research every possibility; that's why a committee
is appointed to do the time consuming work of researching. Then results can
be presented to the Board for further discussion and action. This seems a
very reasonable course to me.

I move that:
A)    The AIS Registrar shall begin requesting volunteer image submission
with
new registrations.  Images shall be accepted by the Registrar, archived in
the
AIS Library, and displayed on the Iris Encyclopedia.
B)    The AIS President shall appoint a registration committee to facilitate
implementation of registration image collection, archiving, and disposition.

This committee shall propose suggested guidelines for registration images by
July 4th, 2011.
