Re: What happened to the shopping cart?

I apologize. I see the names and forget that some people see numbers. We are still looking for people for the PR and Marketing who can do graphics because they have the good graphic programs and know how to use them. Bob Pries

All,

I wish I knew who _101p@rewrite_ (mailto:101p@rewrite) is so I would know
who we have as an artist. I would also like to know who _4eae@rewrite_
(mailto:4eae@rewrite) is. I'm serious that I want you all to sign your names
to your emails so I know your opinions on our topics. I'm sorry to keep
harping on this but I hope someone starts paying attention!!! My computer
does NOT identify you otherwise.

Thanks John for the information on the shopping cart. I do remember now
that the board had this discussion. I guess I just filed it away thinking
wait a couple of months to use the shopping cart.

I think a shopping cart is a wonderful thing and I greatly appreciate all
the work you have done to create it. I know when I shop online I tend to go
to sources that have an easy shopping cart. I often feel pushed into the
new tech driven world and have resisted the smart phone and the notebook.
But sometimes I wish I had them. And I find as much as I complain I still go
to my computer to find information even though I have an extensive library.
In many ways I feel we have all gotten spoiled by technology. And even if
I would like to be a Luddite, I still expect/demand the latest best way of
doing something. But each change seems harder and I feel about five years
behind the times. Even though AIS has come a long way in the last five years
I think we are still about ten years behind. I would really like to find
some irisarians that could bring all of us, AIS and myself, into the present
and even aim at the future.

If there is anyone out there who can do simple graphics for advertisements
we need your skills. Years ago I used to be an Artist. I won first place
in the only competition I ever entered and I have sold numerous paintings
and had several college courses in design and drawing. But today graphics is
all computer program manipulation. If you own the right program and know
how to use it you can do what a freehand artist can do in a fraction of the
time. Today, I lack the software and experience to express my visions. I am
feeling more and more like a dinosaur.
