AIS Garden Judge -- akin to Moody's or Standard and Poors?

Think of garden judging or "voting the ballot" in terms of the product that is
produced. If you read the Handbook--you know that the results should be a
strong recommendation for an iris that should be considered garden worthy.

This morning, I listened to a segment on NPR where the bond rating agencies
are being blamed for some of the current economic meltdown. After listening to
the segment, I wondered how AIS garden judges and the product that we produce
would fare under such scrutiny.

You can hear the segment at

Just as the value of Moody's and S&P is questioned, we should be questioning
the value of this product. Is the right formula being used?
