Re: Potyvirus

Howie, According to what I have read, this is a mosaic virus and is transmitted by sucking insects, such as aphids.

A number of growers in Albuquerque report their irises have been infected with potyvirus.  Does anyone know anything about this virus and how to take care of it?  Do the plants need to be destroyed or just cleaning up the leave will be ok?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
