I will look at the complete possible designs as I get time but wanted to  
comment quickly on the picture features.  I had looked at automatic slide  shows 
and pop-ups during the GSLIS web design, but both drove me crazy  during 
testing!  They were very annoying while trying to read copy or even  think.  And 
you are right about them slowing down the connection.
