Donna..
All monies that are donated for a specific restricted fund (such as
Insurance, Clark Cosgrove, Library fund etc) are booked into that fund as
restricted money. When a bill comes in, such as the monthly insurance bill,
I do not book it as an expense, but I book it against the money in the
Insurance Expense Restricted Fund. This is the same for the Youth funds,
the Library funds, etc. So there is a bookkeeping trail to follow to show
when the money came in and how it was spent.
Does this help?
Jill

I vote yes, but, what happens if a Iris Society that sends an large
amount of monies directed to a specific fund finds out that the money is
not
being used for the purpose they intended it for? Will they donate again???
