Hello to all:
     I've just learned that Gerry Snyder slipped and fell this morning going 
into his building at work at JPL.   Unfortunately, Gerry landed in such a way 
that he severely damaged the right hip joint socket.   The doctors have 
determined that a hip replacement is necessary. Right now surgery is scheduled for 
tomorrow afternoon.   He will spend three days in the hospital following 
surgery, after which he will probably go to rehab, but that phase hasn't been 
determined yet.   I will give updates when they are warranted.
     Michelle says he is in good spirits and has a very positive attitude.
