Dear Susan,
      You might consider an erobin examining, evaluating and suggesting ideas 
to improve membership.   Enhancing and attracting AIS membership seems to be 
a VERY big topic on Iris-talk.   With an erobin, perhaps we could gather, 
evaluate, and even implement some of the new ideas on a trial basis if these 
comments were concentrated as an erobin topic, rather than viewed as random 
contributions on iris-talk.   Additionally -- perhaps in the process we would be able 
to correct some misconceptions about AIS membership.
      I feel AIS has a strong need to find new and improved ways of 
influencing membership enrollment and that such a subject is a topic as important as 
many of the mysteries concerning garden successes and failures.   
     Of course -- however -- we could just as easily bore everyone to death 
and get no participation.
     A thought......
