Everyone
knows by now that plant societies are facing especially difficult times.
Whenever things appear bad people are motivated to change, hopefully far the
better. The AIS board proposed many changes this fall that we hope will make a
better plant society and at the same time cope with an imbalance in revenues
and expenditures. Unlike many organizations AIS has never campaigned for an
endowment fund. We do have reserves that allow us to continue while we
recreate ourselves. Ideas that can bring more members. better services to
retain members, and others sources of income are most welcome. Challenges are
what make things inprove.

Library exhibits-change subject line to Board Action of AIS Discuss
Hello All,
If every active affiliate donated $50, it would more than
halve the projected deficit for 2010. That might be a good starting
point for all RVPs and affiliate Presidents to request a donation from their
club.
