That's a good question Doug,

I'm not sure if we have an answer.  Searching for "AIS" in Google Groups gives 480 groups, most of which are not the American Iris Society.

FYI - I have 12 iris groups on my "my groups" list.  That includes the new LA and Species Irises group.
