Re: July Bulletin

Bob,
I am so glad you said this... "except it is the wrong size". I have
wondered for years whether AIS is doing it's members the greatest service by
retaining the small 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 size. All of my professional magazines
which come to my office, using 'perfect binding', are all in 8 1/2 by 11
inch size. The font can be a little larger for easier reading, they are
just more eye appealing
The only "real" magazine I get that is small, is Reader's Digest. All
the other magazines are large. Anyone receive the magazine "Country
Magazine"? The purpose of that magazine I believe is to show off color...
in photography, about America and the shear beauty of the countryside. I
have always felt and continue to feel that A.I.S. would be well served to
produce their bulletin in the larger size. I love photography, so you'll
understand when I say I'd love to see the AIS bulletin in a larger size
where more color photography can be exhibited, and where pictures can be
larger.
Sincerely,
Kitty Loberg
AIS Photo Contest Chair

Bob; You assume that just because we receive the bulletin we actually read
it. Mine came today and it struck that it was incredibly well organized
especially the flow of pictures in the middle. It almost seemed like a real
magazine except it is the wrong size.

To all you folks commenting on the timeliness of receipt, how about throwing
in a little something on the merits of the issue.

I was at the national too, and was absolutely amazed at the quality and
artfulness of the full colored depictions and descriptions of the blossoms
and garden landscapes in our BULLETIN. (Try writing that on a BlackBerry.)

That' my input.

Let's also hear it, one way or another, for the subject matter too.

Your humble tax exemption coordinator,

Bob
