John, have you sent out this motion to the international registrars to get
their
nput while we are discussing this within the AIS Board? Before voting I would
ike some feedback from them--is this workable for them? Some may decide they
till want to charge their own fee in addition to the $5USD we will give them.
If hopefully a majority of them approve, then I think this motion/policy is a
ood compromise to the problem. We could add information about each Associate
egistrar on the AIS website and in future Bulletins as an announcement of this
ew Policy. Hopefully e membership will bring in more overseas members and it
ight increase registering of iris all over the world.
Our intent here is to continue to register all iris and not to do an end run
round the foreign associate registrars.

The whole point of having a discussion after a motion is made is to get
houghts on the table and vet the subject.

HOW ABOUT SPEAKING UP!
