Hello all,
I have been asked to extend an invitation to all of you to attend the
Victorian Iris Society 2010 Iris Convention. The convention will be in
Melbourne, Australia from Saturday, Oct 30 to Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010.
There is a separate charge for each days event. Welcome dinner and
guest speaker on the first day will be Heather Pryor who will speak on
the topic of Louisianas - cost $60. Day two main Victorian Iris Society
Show - $35. Day three is a trip to Tempo Two Iris Nursery, Cranbourne
Gardens and Oasis Seedling Nursery - $57. Day four is a trip to two
member gardens and the Geelong Botanical Gardens - $73. Day five is a
trip to member gardens - $65. Last day is trip to Werribee Rose Garden
and member garden - $48. Evening farewell dinner with guest speakers
Barry Blyth and Tom Johnson who will speak on the modern iris - $50.
Accommodation's range from $119 to $155, depending on the place.
Registration and $100 deposit are due by July 1, 2010. Final payment is
due by July 31, 2010.
I would request that all the RVP's provide this information to their
local club presidents to pass along to the membership. If anyone is
interested in further information please let me know and I will be happy
to send you one of the actual convention packets I received.
