I believe this is just a continued manifestation of several of the topics that
came up at the Dallas BOD meeting. The World has moved on to the DIGITAL AGE.
A CD is much easer to just mail.  KODAK and their slide development service no
longer exists. Most teenagers and many in their 20's have never seen a slide
up close. Just try to find a Slide projector, to say nothing of getting one
repaired.

 Most local clubs do not have the $$ to update to a laptop & projector. Might
be a good idea to see if AIS could negotiate a large reduced cost purchase for
our affiliate clubs of updated  digital projectors and maybe a laptop too. Go
direct to the manufacturers and distributors.  George Boyce

We can put something in News & Notes next month. One problem is clubs that
have
neither the equipment for digital or slide media. I have been told the present
equipment is too expensive on its shipping costs. I think we should keep an
eye
out for new possible equipment that is more portable.

In looking over my records the request for slide programs from
affiliates has dropped to zero.

In focusing on digital programs somehow affiliate don't realize there
are still programs offered in slide version for those who do not have
the equipment for digital.

Open for suggestions to get the word out slides still exist.
