Each update (made by email) was promptly handled by John Jones and forwarded to The Webmaster for implementation. \par \tab Work towards providing a web page Join Button was carried forward and the prototype of such a button has been tested and should be in place before mid- summer. \par \tab The need to have a clearly defined work relationship between the Bulletin Editor and the Scientific Advisory Committee prompted the formation of a definition of this working relationship. \par \tab Repeated contact with the Untied States Department of Agricultural Library in Beltsville, MD bore little satisfaction. The Ag Library contact continually expresses genuine inter est in housing the AIS Library, nonetheless, attempts to produce an official expression of interest through a proposal for housing the AIS Library has been fruitless. \par \tab Several policy focused discussions have originated on AISDiscuss. Some discussions have addressed electronic possibilities for increasing membership and/or making membership more attractive to retiring \'93baby-boomers.\'94 The most recent, active AISDiscuss round-abouts have dealt with several important revisions to the Judges\rquote Training Handbook that need to be thoroughly examined and considered. Hardly completed, discussions on these issues will continue until final resolution is reached at the Fall Meeting in Kansas City, MO. \par \tab As president I have been consulted by and consulted with various members of the Board in connection with their duties. Any resolutions of problems, or different approaches applied to their work that }{\i\f7 may}{\f7 have come about as a result of those discussions, I trust will be found in their reports. \par \tab Jeanne Clay Plank, President \par }}
